This piece leans into that in-between state—where something is no longer alive, but not fully gone either. The tree begins to rot much like a human body, slowly taking on a skeletal form as it breaks down while everything around it continues to grow.
The tree becomes a tether to us—mirroring our own cycle of decay. As humans return to bone, the tree softens and hollows, bridging the space between human and plant. Mushrooms, insects, and texture push through the decay—messy, natural, and a little unsettling.
