Neural Decay – 12x16 Giclée Fine Art Original
This piece explores the quiet unraveling that occurs within us—the slow melt of thought, body, and identity under the weight of living. Inspired by vintage scientific illustrations, the work merges anatomical structure with organic overgrowth: flowers, mushrooms, and creeping life reclaiming what once felt permanent.
Neural Decay reflects the experience of mental health and depression as a gradual dissolving, while also honoring the natural cycle of return to the earth. What decays becomes nourishment for new growth. The image exists between beauty and discomfort, fragility and resilience—an acknowledgment that melting does not always mean disappearing; sometimes it means becoming something new.
